Personal BIM Capability Assessment Towards Mastery

Thirty questions across the six working domains of building information modeling — Modeling & Families, Documentation & Views, Coordination & Collaboration, MEP Systems, Structure & Interoperability, Automation & the Vanguard. You choose the level you intend to reach on the five-level scale — from Foundation to Mastery — and the instrument measures where you stand against it.

The fee is $0, and the result is private. Registration is collected at the BG Latitude register exactly like course enrollment — no payment is taken and no card is required. Your result appears on no public register and is shown to no one. When you finish, your readout is free: your overall score, and a score in each category. The Assessment Papers ($15) issue the meaning as one document set from the Office of the Registrar: the full diagnostic on the five-level scale, the gap analysis against the level you chose, the day-by-day Action Plan built on one law — the only way to improve is by doing, in a project file — and your Market Standing, your capability read for marketability and for the firm you work for, written for promotion conversations.

This assessment will be expanded to be more expansive across all the AEC disciplines in the near future — architecture, structures, MEP, and the disciplines beyond them. Each instrument is calibrated quarterly using current job requirements, current technologies, and professional workflows — what is asked of the craft and what is on the vanguard — and verified by a practitioner currently doing the work at the highest level it is done.
